The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in 会计 at the H-E-B School of Business and Administration prepares students for professions in all functional areas of accounting.
会计 is the language by which businesses report to stakeholders the results of their operations, 综合收益, financial position and changes in cash and equities. Accountants do this by analyzing, 记录, presenting and interpreting the results of transactions and events.

This concentration plan is based on core competencies identified by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is designed to prepare you to enter the field of professional accounting. The BBA in 会计 is a 120-hour program and is intended to develop the decision making and skills needed to enter the accounting profession.

To qualify to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination, the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA) requires a degree and at least 150 semester hours, including:
Upon completion of the BBA in 会计 (120 hours), many students enroll in the 30-hour Master of Science in 会计 (MSA) program in order to fulfill the 150 hours required by TSBPA to sit for the CPA exam.
校本 undergraduate accounting students with at least a B average in their accounting courses automatically have a reserved spot in the MSA program. Both the BBA and MSA are designed to be completed in five years, providing accounting students with the requirements to sit for the CPA exam.
Professionals with a BBA in 会计 from 校本 have a variety of career paths from which to choose, from auditing to management to working as a CPA . Using the skills and theoretical framework learned from the HEBSBA BBA program, graduates are prepared with the tools necessary to become skilled accounting professionals.
